Role Overview

As an Account Manager at CablesAndKits, youโ€™ll manage a targeted book of small and medium customer accounts and grow revenue through proactive outreach, relationship building, and consultative selling. Youโ€™ll use your technical product knowledge of Cisco hardware to help customers buy the right products for their environmentโ€”and youโ€™ll partner closely with our customer support team to ensure a great experience end-to-end.

This is an office-based role in Commerce, GA with no travel required, so you can maximize your selling activity and follow-up. Youโ€™ll work both active and inactive accounts, re-engage past buyers, and expand share-of-wallet through upsells and cross-sells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage & grow a book of business: Own and โ€œfarmโ€ a portfolio of 300+ small/medium accounts (active and inactive).
  • Drive proactive outreach: Call consistently to uncover needs, re-engage lapsed buyers, and build relationships with multiple stakeholders across each account.
  • Quarterly conversion target: Call and convert 5% of your 300+ accounts into new business each quarter.
  • Service high-volume house accounts: Support customers who purchase regularly and ensure frictionless repeat ordering.
  • Build orders & quotes: Help customers build orders and solutions; when POs come in, coordinate with Customer Service to build carts/quotes and send checkout links.
  • Upsell & cross-sell: Review order history to identify complementary products customers likely need (but arenโ€™t buying yet).
  • Project-manage complex purchases: Coordinate more complex orders when inventory timing or exact specs require extra attention.
  • Blanket POs: Manage blanket purchase orders for customers buying in bulk in advance.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Maintain customer relationships while our support team manages product and delivery issuesโ€”ensuring customers feel cared for throughout.
  • Server opportunities: For server purchases, collaborate with our vendor partners for pricing, configuration, and custom specs.

  • Consistent outbound activity and thoughtful follow-up across your account list.
  • Meeting or exceeding quarterly conversion goals within your book of business.
  • Growing account revenue through strong discovery, accurate recommendations, and smart upsell/cross-sell.
  • Clean handoffs and excellent coordination with Customer Service to keep customers delighted.
  • Strong product knowledge and confidence navigating Cisco hardware needs with customers.

  • 2+ years of proven inside sales, account management, or business development experience.
