Medical Imaging Assistant

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift/Schedule: Night shift, weekend and holiday rotation.

Department: Medical Imaging

Salary Range: $18.13-$25.87/hourly, based on experience and qualifications

 About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Medical Imaging Assistant to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of our clinical team, ensuring excellent service, collaboration, and patient outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As the Medical Imaging Assistant you will perform a variety of tasks involved in the performance of medical imaging scans and procedures.

What You’ll Do

  • Greets patients, verifies patient procedure, obtains script; necessary paper work and notifies technologist responsible for exam.
  • Assists the patient while getting on and off the exam table as needed.
  • Ensures rooms are clean, in order, stocked with linens/supplies and monitors inventory. Communicates needs to the technologist.
  • Maintains accurate patient log for permanent records and is responsible for promptly entering data into Medi-tech system upon exam completion.
  • Transports patients within the hospital and to parking lot if needed. Explains and educates the patients and their family members regarding tests— exam procedures—etc.
  • Prepares room for technologist prior to exams.
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in alignment with Saratoga Hospital values
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support health, healing, and service excellence
  • Perform clinical responsibilities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Use hospital systems and tools to document care and support operations
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and support patient and staff satisfaction
  • Serve as a positive, professional representative of our hospital and community

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED. BLS certification preferred will be required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
