We take pride in enhancing the lives of our residents, empowering our employees, and uplifting our communities. Specializing in owning, operating, and renovating multifamily apartment communities, we’re more than just property managers—we create homes and build thriving communities.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, enjoys keeping operations running smoothly, and takes pride in supporting both residents and team members.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven, organized, and people-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of an established apartment community. In this role, you will work closely with the Property Manager to help drive occupancy, support financial performance, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for residents and the on-site team. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and enjoys keeping operations organized and running efficiently.

Career Path Opportunity:
This role offers a clear development path for an Assistant Property Manager who is interested in growing into a future Property Manager position. Through hands-on involvement in leasing, operations, financial processes, and team coordination, you will gain the experience and mentorship needed to successfully lead a community.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the daily operations of the property, ensuring consistent execution across leasing, collections, maintenance coordination, and administrative processes.

  • Support the on-site team, Leasing staff, and Maintenance personnel.

  • Make day-to-day operational decisions to resolve issues, maintain momentum, and uphold property standards without unnecessary escalation.

  • Drive occupancy through proactive leasing strategies, renewals, marketing initiatives, and community engagement.

  • Ensure timely and accurate rent collection, financial reporting, and compliance with company and state guidelines.

  • Serve as the point of contact for residents, addressing concerns professionally and promptly.

  • Collaborate with leadership to implement strategies that improve property performance, curb appeal, and resident retention.

  • Ensure Fair Housing compliance and uphold KH Properties’ core values in all interactions.

Who We’re Looking For
  • Highly organized and execution-focused, with the ability to prioritize, follow through, and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience in supporting property operations such as leasing activity, resident communications, rent collections, and coordinating maintenance or vendor services is strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience supervising or leading others is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage residents, team members, and vendors.

  • Demonstrated integrity and sound judgment in financial and operational decision-making.

  • Proficiency with property management software and standard office technologies.

Why Join Us?
  • Join a company where your leadership directly strengthens communities and improves lives.

  • Be part of a growing company with real opportunities for advancement.

  • Work in a supportive environment that values mentorship, development, and accountability.

  • Enjoy competitive compensation, bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a clear career path.

  • Align your career with a team committed to excellence and shared values.

  • Growth opportunities are driven by performance, ownership, and the ability to successfully stabilize operations.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background screening and other applicable checks, as permitted by state law.
