Overview

The Specialist III Process, Standards & Training is responsible for the development, communication, and publishing of commercial technical/functional training programs. They will manage commercial associate training completion and communicate training metrics to commercial leadership. This position is responsible for onboarding associates new to role across the commercial organization. This includes working with hiring managers, meeting frequently with associates, reviewing training plans and managing their skill development specific to their role, and partnering across the commercial organization on projects related to company initiatives. This includes the development of training programs and communicating across the commercial organization.

This role provides subject matter expertise to the business in the areas of change management, training, and training content management resulting in meaningful improvements. This includes partnering with leaders at many different levels across the Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA) brands on high-priority projects. This position acts as a connector between competency development, onboarding, process standards, and cross-brand support, providing deep subject-matter expertise, including leading aspects of content governance, owning cross-functional training projects, and ensuring the integration of SOPs, training materials, and process updates across ADUSA brands.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office location includes Hyattsville, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain role-specific training plans, processes, and standards for assigned areas. This includes role-specific manuals and other relevant training programs and resources.
  • Make enhancements to course content as needed to improve the learner's experience.
  • Develop courseware, to include Interactive multimedia instruction that resonates with adult learners.
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to control guidelines for all training programs, processes, standards, and resources developed, including leading readiness planning for major process or system changes, ensuring impacted roles receive appropriate training, tools, and documentation.
  • Lead governance of training content, including version control, cross-brand content alignment, and integration with enterprise competency models.
  • Serve as the primary process documentation lead for assigned functional areas, guiding SOP development, standard updates, and process mapping.
  • Maintain SharePoint sites, Knowledge Center, and other documentation repositories.
  • Translate complex commercial concepts into easily understandable language & drive continuous improvement on processes, learning resources, and associate engagement. Writing/communication style to target commercial level associates.
  • Support the development and execution of all training events providing logistical, process and documentation support to facilitate business subject matter experts.
  • Manage the onboarding and learning process for associates new to role. This includes facilitating conversations between hiring managers, associates, CI Training & SME's as well as leading training sessions related to associate development.
  • Serve as a cross-brand training & process liaison, coordinating intake of training & process needs and ensuring alignment on standards and role expectations.
  • Review and validate SOP changes for training impact; ensure updated process content is incorporated into documentation repositories and training curriculums.
  • Utilize innovative approaches to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training solutions.
  • Recommend metrics to measure training results.
  • Establishes change interventions and leverages PROSCI methodology as needed.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years managing cross-functional training and process improvement initiatives, process standards, and onboarding solutions.
  • Abiltiy to run and manage a project initiative from planning through execution.
  • PROSCI Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to leverage adult learning and instructional design methodologies.
  • Ability to create process documentation for assigned functional areas, guiding SOP development, standard updates, and process mapping.
  • Self-motivated to meet multiple deadlines and business objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with all levels of leadership and peers to ensure alignment and commitment.
  • Exceptional presentation, oral and written communications skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources.
  • Proficient at influencing others without authority and leverages a consultative approach.
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Motivated, dependable, self-directed, and recommending solutions for opportunities.
  • Use of the ADDIE process and Adobe Captivate or similar development platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, LMS and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in education or OD.
  • Knowledge within grocery retail preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Captivate or similar development platforms.
  • Expert understanding of the ADDIE process.
  • Experience leading broad training initiatives.
  • Experience with brands or support organizations of ADUSA.

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $106,480- $159,720

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
