MEP Cx Project Manager – Oversee Complex Systems & Coordination in Cherry Hill


Job Overview

  • Company: NEW ROAD Construction Management.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: $90,000 - $110,000 per year plus Performance Based Bonus.
  • Location: Cherry Hill, NJ.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
  • Project Scope: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems Coordination.

The Opportunity

You will serve as the technical lead overseeing the coordination and execution of MEP trades on major construction projects. This role positions you as the vital liaison between general contractors, owners, and specialty subcontractors to prevent system clashes, enforce building codes, and ensure successful systems integration for a firm built on integrity.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Review contract documents and submittals to make proactive constructability suggestions and modifications before installation.
  • Manage the performance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems in alignment with the overall project schedule.
  • Conduct targeted pre-installation meetings with MEP trades to align expectations and quality benchmarks.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with master schedule reviews, focusing heavily on critical path MEP activities.
  • Monitor the installation, start-up, and commissioning phases of all MEP systems to guarantee code compliance.
  • Validate MEP line items on contractor payment applications to ensure accurate billing for work completed.
  • Communicate field progress through detailed, professional reports submitted to senior leadership and clients.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in construction or MEP coordination.
  • Strong, comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems.
  • General working knowledge of Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Codes.
  • High level of computer literacy and structural organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders on active construction sites.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, OR extensive equivalent MEP field experience.
  • Proven experience managing quality assurance and complex trade negotiations.
  • Background acting as an Owner's Representative on institutional or public works projects.
