Compensation range: $50.50 - $68.18. Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience.

Shift: Variable. Shift length: 12-Hours. Days off: Variable. Hours per pay period: 72.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Radiology and the immediate supervision of the Lead Technologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. The CT Technologist can perform all general diagnostic radiographic exams and CT exams. Assumes responsibility for designated areas as assigned. The Technologist operates CT equipment, prepares and administers contrast media, performs Intravenous contrast injections, operates X-ray equipment, prepares patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications. The CT Technologist is responsible for the quality control and enforcement of Enloe Medical Centers Core Values, ARRT Standards of Ethics, and the policies and procedures of the designated area. The CT Technologist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Radiology Department.

Education / Training / Experience

Desired:

  • Two years experience in diagnostic x-ray
  • One year experience in CT

Licenses / Certifications:

Minimum:

  • Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT) Approved CPR certification
  • ARRT to be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire

Desired:

  • Current Radiographic contrast media and venapuncture certification
  • Current license issued by ARRT
  • Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit issued by the State of California
  • Advanced certification in CT
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, cross sectional anatomy, patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and specialized techniques as required for a radiologic and CT technologist. Must be intelligent and self motivated. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills are required. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
