Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge, for sale to customers
  • Perform all Barista, Café, and Fuzziwigs Candy Shop functions, which may include deli line, food case, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Supervisor
  • Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods
  • Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests
  • Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances
  • Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed
  • Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including dining areas
  • Must be able to perform repetitive fudge production processes, which include stirring, pulling, and cutting
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Medium work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.
Compensation/Schedule:
Compensation for this position starts at $19.00 per hour. Must be flexible to work days Monday through Friday and 4:30pm to 9:30 pm Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday 9:30am to 6:30pm.
Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available a minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20 hours. Typical schedule includes 1-2 days during the week and every other weekend.
