With a belief that consumers can have it all, we are an uncompromising energy company that makes coming clean a no brainer. Our award-winning technology platform empowers homeowners, businesses, and entrepreneurs to adopt renewable energy through simple, scalable, and innovative solutions. Palmetto offers a comprehensive benefits package—including unlimited PTO, medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid parental leave, retirement plans, and more—so you can have it all both personally and professionally. Palmetto prioritizes people, planet, and profit—backed by a culture that values collaboration, impact, and balance. Join us in building a brighter, cleaner world.

Department Description

Palmetto Capital is a branch of Palmetto focused on the democratization of the renewable energy industry. We provide homeowners with financial products to benefit from solar power, home efficiency products, and energy storage systems. We empower solar sales professionals and installation companies with access to our proprietary platform, financing, customer management tools, and milestone submission systems. Our portfolio of solar lease, PPA, and battery storage products is growing — and so is the infrastructure needed to manage it well.

Location

This position will be based in either New York, NY or Charlotte, NC.

Reporting

This position will report to the Manager, Capital Markets.

Summary of Role

The Portfolio Management Analyst on the Capital Markets team will own the reporting and data infrastructure that keeps Palmetto's active financing portfolio clear and accessible to investors, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for completing monthly and quarterly reports across existing deals, building reporting frameworks for new transactions as they close, supporting investor relations with our tax equity and institutional partners, and improving the data flows that make all of this work.

This is an individual contributor role. You will partner across Data Analytics, Operations, Finance, and Accounting.

Strategic & Tactical

Reporting and portfolio management:

  • Own monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables across the active portfolio of solar lease, PPA, and battery storage transactions
  • Build reporting templates and data delivery frameworks for new deals at close, in partnership with deal execution and legal teams
  • Track portfolio performance metrics and surface meaningful insights to internal leadership and external stakeholders
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records across all active financing relationships

Investor relations support:

  • Serve as a consistent point of contact for reporting-related inquiries from tax equity partners and institutional investors
  • Prepare materials and data packages for investor calls, annual reviews, and ad hoc requests
  • Partner with the Manager, Capital Markets to ensure investor communication is timely, accurate, and well-organized

Data infrastructure and automation:

  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in existing reporting processes and build solutions
  • Develop and improve data flows between internal systems, ensuring reporting inputs are clean, reliable, and timely
  • Leverage Microsoft Fabric and other BI tools to create scalable, repeatable reporting workflows
  • Apply AI-assisted tools and automation where appropriate to reduce manual work and increase reporting quality

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in structured finance, asset management, portfolio reporting, or a similar analytical role
  • Advanced Excel skills — you should be fluent, not just functional; complex models, data tables, and data manipulation are second nature to you
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting data clearly to investors and senior leadership
  • Self-directed and organized — you take ownership of deliverables and follow through without being managed step by step
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is part of the job

Preferred:

  • Experience in solar, clean energy, or consumer financial products
  • Exposure to tax equity, securitization, or other structured finance products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric; experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools a plus
  • Experience using AI tools to build or automate reporting and data workflows
  • Familiarity with investor reporting obligations for institutional or tax equity investors

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

We do not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
