Day Shift 4 x 10's -Set schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. 7 am to 5 30pm. Occasionally, a Friday for PTO coverage. Certs & Documents needed: Current California RHB License in X-ray & Mammo - CRT(M) Certificate of Completion of Initial Training for Mammo 40hrs Certificate of New Modality training for Digital / 3D List of initial 25 supervised mammograms CEUS for the last 3 years Continuing experience numbers (200 mammos performed in the last 24 months) No Call and No Weekends

Job Summary:

Performs specialized examinations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.

Performs all required procedures in the department while operating specialized equipment.

Acts as a competent clinician who provides clinical care in a skilled and effective manner, utilizing appropriate technical and decision-making skills.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Required

Experience as a Mammography Technologist: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications: Radiologic Tech (RT) and Mammography Technologist: Required in CA

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ? Radiography (ARRT-R): Required

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ? Mammography (ARRT-M): Required in OR, Preferred in CA and HI

Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CA

Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA

Facility Specific License/Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT): Required

Essential Functions:

Completes patient education regarding the exam while promoting privacy and comfort for the patient.

Follows infection control and safety guidelines.

Performs diagnostic or screening mammogram as ordered.

Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.

Produces high quality films for the radiologist to evaluate and completes appropriate documentation.

Obtains pertinent patient information and disseminates subsequent patient preparation instructions to patient care areas.

Elevates questions, problems and significant challenges to more senior staff for direction or subject matter expertise.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
