Job description

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for selling merchandise and attending to customers at The Miami HEAT Store in Pembroke Lakes Mall.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
  • Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Operating cash registers.
  • Achieving individual sales goals.
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the store.
  • Increasing in-store sales.
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.
  • Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts.
  • Adhere to all policies and security procedures.

Desired Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or general educational degree (GED); Six months to one year of cashier/retail experience and strong customer service skills preferred. Very organized and detail-oriented. Able to adapt to a fast-paced, fluid environment while balancing multiple tasks at once. Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the entirety of the shift. Ability to lift merchandise, merchandising equipment, and boxes up to 50 pounds.
