  • Saturday: 10:00 AM 12:00 PM
While School is Out of Session:
  • MondayFriday: 9:00 AM 12:00 PM
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, patient, and compassionate Community Support Staff to provide one-on-one support to a 20-year-old male with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This position focuses on supporting independence, communication, and meaningful participation within the community.
Staff will assist the individual with community integration, communication development, and daily living skills in a supportive and engaging manner.
Responsibilities
  • Support community integration and participation in community-based activities
  • Assist with shopping skills, including making selections and completing purchases
  • Provide support with nonverbal communication strategies
  • Encourage development of verbal communication skills
  • Promote independence, confidence, and appropriate social interactions
  • Ensure safety and supervision during community outings
  • Follow individualized support strategies and document services as required
Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, dependable, and able to follow directions
  • Ability to assist with community-based activities and transportation
  • Must pass background check
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
