Jenison Academy of Music is part of the Academy of Music in Grand Rapids, the largest professional music lesson studio in West Michigan with 800+ students. We offer private lessons for piano, voice & singing, electric, acoustic, and bass guitar, ukulele, drums, violin, viola and cello. In addition, we offer group introduction for musical theatre classes and an accelerated piano lab. Nationally recognized for Music Academy Success and voted #1 Music Lesson Studio by Grand Rapids Kids followers (grkids.com).
The Academy of Music is hiring qualified music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, drums, and strings at both their Jenison and Grand Rapids locations. A college degree in music is NOT required. Teaching and performance experience are helpful. A warm personality and ability to help students achieve their goals are important personality traits.
Music Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Teach weekly private music lessons
  • Teach 1-2 group make-up classes each year
  • Record lessons or teach live video lessons when students miss a lesson
  • Prepare students for and attend annual winter and spring recitals
