Job description

Quality Technician 2 - 1st Shift

Job Summary

Assists in tasks and duties related to quality control processes to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.

Job Duties

  • Test products and services, analyze results and make recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure products and services meet specifications
  • Use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments
  • Manage, maintain, rebuild and repair gaging equipment per the standards as needed
  • Run and monitor inspection equipment (gages, etc.) to record and analyze quality data
  • Purchase gaging supplies and equipment as needed
  • Understand and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Recommend modifications to standards, methods and procedures
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

  • Perform work under general supervision
  • Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of experience
