Role:

The Consultant role requires working collaboratively with consulting teams and clients to design and execute operational and performance improvement projects of varying size and complexity across multiple industries. This role will apply improvement principles, processes, and tools to drive financial and operational results for our clients and long-term operational improvement. Consultants will assess client business opportunities, design change strategies, assess stakeholder impacts and organizational readiness, recommending and/or implementing appropriate communication, training, and behavioral change solutions, and measuring effectiveness to enhance organization, group, and individual performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with workstream lead and/or project manager to analyze data, evaluate results, and develop recommendations and road maps for assigned workstream / area.
  • Perform studies, analyze data, evaluate results, to identify performance gaps and work to develop and implement interventions in a myriad of industrial and support processes including production, maintenance, reliability, supply chain, sanitation, finance and accounting and/or management systems
  • Design and implement targeted change strategies including identification of change impacts to people, process, policy, and structure, stakeholder identification and alignment, appropriate communication and feedback loops, success measures, training, and long-term sustainability
  • Coach front line leaders and shop floor hourly staff on new installed processes, systems and tools
  • Maintain effective partnerships with key cross functional leaders, human resources, change sponsors, and project team members
  • Build collaborative relationship with the leadership team
  • Support of research, capability development, project capitalization, to help generate industry and practice group know-how.
  • Proactive participation in self-training process; participation in and support of internal and external training activities.
  • Support proposals for sales opportunities
  • Support of marketing activities and active contribution towards EFESO visibility
  • Build collaborative relationships with the leadership team, support integration of colleagues and new starters.


Requirements:

Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.E., Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt).

Basic Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years Consulting or Industry experience; consulting experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Operations Environment, Consulting or Industry, such as: Chemicals, Consumers Goods/Food & Beverages, Energy.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement Tools, such as Kaisen, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Technical Competencies:

  • Participate in project teams in areas such as production, maintenance, reliability, managements systems and sanitation.
  • Participate in studies in multiple areas and lead project definition and recommendations.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and P&L.
  • Ability to be comfortable and credible in assessing the impact of change, communication and training need.
  • Ability to effectively design, gain alignment and successfully execute significant change initiatives from project start to finish.
  • A track record of successfully driving throughput, up-time and overall plant improvement programs is required.
  • Thorough understanding of Lean methodologies and experience leading capital programs, turnarounds or major plant expansions
  • Problem Solving & Analysis: Utilize structured problem-solving methods, prioritize effectively, ensure high-quality analysis through targeted data gathering and proficient execution.
  • Consulting & Communication Skills: use of consulting tools (MS Office; PointPoint, Excel), gain expertise in additional IT applications (PowerBI, Tableau), communicate clearly using horizontal/vertical logic.

Professional Competencies:

  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues appropriately, and keep information confidential is critical to this position.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
  • Maintain a professional presence with fluent proficiency; excel in meeting participation and presentations.

Work Environment:

  • Type of role: Full-Time - Remote.
  • Travel: 80-100%, on-site client location(s).
  • Client environments: may require standing and/or walking for long periods.
  • Location: Job opportunities open to all US locations, preferred regions: East Coast, Midwest and South.

Compensation:

The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At EFESO, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $85.000-$125.000.
