Position Overview

Giant Oil is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across our Florida locations. This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance programs, vendor relationships, and ensuring that all facilities are operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge of equipment and building systems, and experience managing maintenance activities in a retail, convenience store, or fuel environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed to address urgent repairs or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance operations for multiple store locations within the Dayton region.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on equipment, HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and fuel systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality, timely completion of contracted work.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime.
  • Track and manage maintenance budgets, invoices, and work orders.
  • Conduct site visits to assess maintenance needs and verify completion of repairs.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and building regulations.
  • Collaborate with operations leadership to prioritize maintenance projects and support store performance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance management, facilities management, or related field (convenience store or retail experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of building systems, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and vendors simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to respond to after-hours maintenance needs when necessary.
