We have partnered with a large aviation organization in the Georgetown, TX area to provide them with a Maintenance Manager. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Maintenance Manager:
#1. FAA issued Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate in good standing.
#2. Minimum 5+ years of General Aviation Maintenance experience.
#3. Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor experience preferred with responsibility for supervising aircraft maintenance personnel.
#4. Hands on experience performing and supervising aircraft inspections, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and return to service in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
#5. Experience ensuring FAA compliance, maintenance documentation, aircraft safety, technical data management, tooling, inventory, and hangar operations.
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager:
The A&P Aircraft Mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA) is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and applicable FAA regulations. This position performs aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, return to service activities, maintenance documentation, and airworthiness determinations while maintaining a safe and organized maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft.
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, parts catalogs, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Make aircraft airworthiness decisions.
  • Complete aircraft logbook entries.
  • Release aircraft for return to service.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Work flexible shifts as needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and learn the Talon RMS maintenance program.
  • Work independently while managing workflow and changing priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Title 14 Parts 43 and 91.

Requirements for the Maintenance Manager:
Education
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum 3 recent and consecutive years of General Aviation experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic.
  • Piper aircraft experience preferred.
  • Garmin G1000 experience is a plus.
  • Aircraft maintenance experience preferred.

Other Key Requirements:
  • 100% on site
  • No Visa or Sponsorships. No Corp-to-Corp.
