Job Summary

The Pellet Mills Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance and repair of pellet mill equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves maintaining plant equipment while coordinating and supervising a team of two (2) Maintenance Technicians, training new hires, and ensuring maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

Execute and coordinate maintenance activities for pellet mill equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.

Lead, mentor, and train maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or maintenance.

Collaborate with the Plant Maintenance Manager to forecast maintenance activities and supplies.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to maintenance operations.

Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving of equipment failures to enhance performance and efficiency.

Assist and collaborate in the planning of major maintenance projects or equipment upgrades.

Qualification Requirements

Minimum of five 5 years of progressive experience.

Mechanical maintenance and repair skills.

Proven experience executing maintenance on industrial equipment, ability to troubleshoot, and experience with supervision in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field.

Strong knowledge of pellet mill equipment and maintenance practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.

Physical Requirements

This position may require standing for long periods and working in various extreme environmental conditions, including exposure to noise and machinery.
