Nirvana Cannabis is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across our dispensaries, cultivation facilities, manufacturing facilities, and other company locations throughout Arizona.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all general maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, facility upkeep, and maintenance-related projects across multiple locations. This position will supervise and support maintenance personnel, prioritize work orders, coordinate vendors and specialized contractors, manage maintenance supplies and tools, and ensure facilities remain safe, functional, clean, and properly maintained.
The ideal candidate is an experienced maintenance professional who can balance hands-on work with leadership, organization, planning, and communication. This position requires regular travel between company locations and the ability to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance operations for multiple company facilities. This includes overseeing maintenance technicians, assigning and prioritizing work, troubleshooting facility issues, coordinating repairs, maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, and ensuring all locations receive timely and consistent maintenance support.
The Maintenance Manager will work closely with Operations, Store Management, Cultivation, Manufacturing, and other departments to identify facility needs and ensure maintenance issues are addressed efficiently.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Manage and oversee day-to-day maintenance operations across multiple company locations.
- Travel regularly between facilities throughout Arizona.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and provide direction to Maintenance Technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Assign maintenance requests and projects based on urgency, location, employee skill level, and business needs.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and building systems to identify repair and maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs or whether a specialized contractor is required.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Oversee general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, HVAC, doors, locks, fixtures, shelving, and other building repairs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.
- Ensure routine inspections and preventative maintenance are completed on schedule.
- Track maintenance requests, completed repairs, recurring issues, and outstanding projects.
- Establish priorities and ensure urgent maintenance concerns are addressed promptly.
- Coordinate with Operations and facility management regarding maintenance needs and facility conditions.
- Coordinate outside contractors, vendors, and specialized technicians when work requires additional expertise.
- Obtain estimates and assist with evaluating repair and maintenance costs.
- Monitor vendor work to ensure repairs are completed properly and according to expectations.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, materials, equipment, and tools.
- Order supplies and materials necessary for maintenance and repair projects.
- Monitor maintenance-related spending and help manage the department's budget.
- Identify recurring maintenance issues and recommend long-term solutions.
- Assist with facility improvement, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Develop and maintain standardized maintenance procedures, checklists, logs, and documentation.
- Ensure maintenance areas and workspaces remain clean, safe, and organized.
- Ensure Maintenance Technicians follow company safety procedures and proper tool/equipment practices.
- Maintain professional communication with store managers, operations managers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday maintenance support as needed.
- Ensure maintenance work minimizes disruption to store and facility operations.
- Review completed work and follow up on outstanding maintenance concerns.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency, reliability, and overall condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Provide daily direction and support to Maintenance Technicians.
- Clearly communicate priorities, expectations, deadlines, and responsibilities.
- Delegate work effectively and ensure assigned tasks are completed.
- Train employees on maintenance procedures, equipment, tools, and safety practices.
- Monitor the quality and timeliness of completed maintenance work.
- Provide coaching and feedback to maintenance staff.
- Assist with hiring and onboarding Maintenance Technicians as needed.
- Ensure adequate maintenance coverage across all company locations.

- Proven experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general building maintenance and repair.

- MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS necessary to perform general maintenance and repair duties.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
- Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Maintenance & Repair Experience required.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in awkward or confined spaces.
- Ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.
