Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is a leader in energetic system solutions supporting aerospace and defense customers across a broad range of critical applications. Our products and capabilities help set the standard for mission success in both domestic and international markets.

Position Summary

EBAD is seeking a motivated and versatile contracts professional to support contract administration, compliance, proposal review, negotiation activities, and customer engagement across government, commercial, and international programs. This position is designed to attract professionals with varying levels of experience and may be filled at different levels based on qualifications, capabilities, and demonstrated experience.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, business-minded, and capable of balancing contractual risk with operational and customer objectives. This role partners closely with Program Management, Business Development, Finance, Supply Chain, and senior leadership to help drive compliant, efficient, and customer-focused contract execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support proposal and contract review activities for U.S. Government, commercial, and international customers.
  • Review, interpret, negotiate, and administer contractual terms and conditions while balancing business objectives and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to support negotiations, pricing activities, contract modifications, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between EBAD and customers for contractual matters and maintain accurate documentation of contractual commitments.
  • Review customer awards and purchase documents for consistency with proposals, negotiations, and agreed business terms.
  • Support the negotiation and administration of nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and related contractual instruments.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and customer requirements, including FAR/DFARS requirements where applicable.
  • Create, maintain, and manage contractual documentation and records within ERP/MRP systems and related business tools.
  • Partner with internal teams to support process improvement initiatives, internal governance activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Analyze contractual and operational data to support reporting, decision-making, and business performance objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, and leadership regarding contractual obligations, risks, opportunities, and status.
  • Support post-award administration activities including modifications, closeouts, correspondence, and customer coordination.
  • This role may require occasional travel, though frequency is expected to be low

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience in contracts administration, compliance, proposal support, or related business functions within aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or government contracting environments.
  • Experience levels may vary; candidates with foundational experience through senior-level expertise are encouraged to apply.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFARS, and related contractual frameworks is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assess contractual risk and exercise sound business judgment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills suitable for interaction with customers and all levels of management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status is required due to the nature of the business.

What Makes This Role Unique

This opportunity offers flexibility in leveling and career growth, allowing EBAD to identify and develop talent ranging from emerging contracts professionals to experienced administrators and compliance specialists. Candidates may be considered for different levels and responsibilities depending on experience, capabilities, and business needs.

Work Environment

This position may support hybrid or remote work arrangements depending on business needs and candidate qualifications. Candidates must be able to support applicable U.S. time zones.
