The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and developing sustainable solutions for facility equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures optimal operational capability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, while adhering strictly to safety, food safety, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Maintenance:
    • Diagnose, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled equipment, plant electrical setups, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, motors, and distribution control systems.
    • Oversee and service plant utility systems, including blast freezing units.
    • Conduct machine tests, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance & Quality Control:
    • Execute preventative maintenance programs and perform routine equipment repairs to ensure peak performance standards.
    • Accurately document all completed work orders and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Maintain facility equipment and work areas to meet safety, food safety, chemical handling, and OSHA regulations.
    • Keep all maintenance work areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
    • Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Professional Conduct:
    • Report to work punctually in clean, complete uniforms, maintaining high personal hygiene standards.
    • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to working collaboratively in a team setting.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Strong background in industrial mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Experience with PLCs and industrial refrigeration/freezing equipment is highly desirable.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Language Skills: Basic understanding of reading, writing, and speaking English to follow processes, procedures, and written instructions.
