Job description

SUMMARY
The primary function of General Helper position is to safely perform a wide range of tasks that include conducting quality checks, material set up, assisting crew members and maintaining a clean and organized space.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled. Prepare for operations, check and/or perform any necessary completion of work from the previous shift.
  2. Clean area throughout the shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork.
  3. Help assist or operate machinery to expected performance levels. Assisting with machinery operations during upset conditions. Must be able to lift.
  4. Help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals. Assist crew members and work in team environment.
  5. Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
  6. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  7. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least one year manufacturing experience preferred.
  3. Good computer skills, ability to track inventory in a computer.
  4. Able to communicate with all team members and adhere to safety regulations. Must be team player, organized and detail oriented.
  5. Able to multi task in an environment with frequent changing priorities. Able to read a tape measure and use a wrench.
  6. Ability to operate a fork truck and/or clamp truck is preferred.
  7. Able to meet company quality and performance standards for job as specified.
  8. Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
  9. Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
