Job description

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is actively seeking motivated Electrician Helper to join our growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for individuals with construction or electrical experience who are ready to build a long-term career in the electrical trade.

At IPS, we believe in investing in our people. You'll work alongside some of the industry's most experienced electricians while receiving hands-on training on complex industrial electrical projects. Our top-performing employees also have the opportunity to participate in our fully paid, four-year apprenticeship program, providing a clear path toward becoming a Journeyman Electrician.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems.

Work alongside experienced Journeymen, Foremen, and Superintendents to safely complete electrical installations.

Assist with conduit installation, wire pulls, equipment installation, and electrical terminations.

Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Continuously develop electrical knowledge and practical field skills through hands-on training and mentorship.

Demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Minimum Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous construction experience is required.

Electrical experience is preferred but not required.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license required.

Ability to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Ability to perform overhead work for extended periods.

Willingness to learn and develop a career in the electrical trade.

Work up to 10- to 12-hour shifts in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
