Overview

The Engineering Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Engineering Department to help ensure the resort’s facilities, equipment, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas are properly maintained. This position serves as a central point of coordination for work orders, preventive maintenance, purchasing, invoices, vendor communication, documentation, and departmental scheduling.

The Engineering Coordinator works closely with Engineering leadership, technicians, resort departments, vendors, and contractors to ensure maintenance needs are communicated, documented, assigned, and followed through to completion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced resort environment where priorities can change quickly.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business administration, hospitality, engineering administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous administrative, coordinator, engineering, facilities, or hotel/resort experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, managers, vendors, contractors, and other departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with hotel maintenance/work-order systems, purchasing systems, or computerized maintenance management systems preferred.
  • Ability to learn new software and operational systems quickly.
  • Basic understanding of hotel Engineering or facilities operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with Engineering leadership.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, discretion, and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment with changing operational priorities.
