Job description

Maintenance Technician

Full-Time | Beaufort County, SC


Tidewatch Vacations is looking for a dependable, motivated Maintenance Technician to join our

maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining our portfolio of vacation rental

homes throughout Beaufort County by performing repairs, troubleshooting maintenance issues, and

helping ensure every guest has an exceptional stay.


Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs at vacation rental homes.

• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, and other household issues.

• Complete preventative maintenance and property inspections.

• Respond to guest maintenance requests and emergency service calls.

• Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, drywall, paint, doors, locks, and other home components.

• Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are needed.

• Document completed work orders and communicate progress with the operations team.

• Participate in hurricane preparation and other seasonal property maintenance.

• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.


Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, or related experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, or general home

maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Comfortable using a smartphone and basic computer applications.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• HVAC certification is a plus, but not required.


Schedule

• Full-time, year-round position.

• Weekends and holidays are required.

• Participation in an on-call rotation is required.

• Schedule varies based on guest arrivals, departures, and maintenance needs.


Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, lifting up to

75 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
