Job description

Now Hiring: Maintenance Associate

Are you a "fix-it" enthusiast who enjoys variety in your workday? Do you take pride in ensuring everything from the lobby lighting to the guest room AC is running perfectly?

At our company, we believe that a seamless guest experience starts behind the scenes. We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and friendly Maintenance Associate to join our team and keep our property in top-notch condition.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the backbone of our hotel operations, your day-to-day will involve a mix of scheduled preventive maintenance and "on-the-fly" repairs. Your goal? Ensuring every guest walks into a room that feels brand new.

  • Guest Room Care: Performing routine "PMs" (Preventive Maintenance) including checking PTAC units, plumbing fixtures, and lighting.
  • General Repair: Handling basic drywall repair, painting, caulking, and furniture assembly.
  • Property Upkeep: Monitoring the pool (chemistry and cleaning), maintaining exterior grounds, and ensuring the parking lot is tidy.
  • Safety First: Regularly inspecting fire safety equipment and emergency exits to comply with Marriott standards and local Kennewick regulations.
  • Guest Interaction: Responding to guest requests with a smile—whether it's helping with a TV remote or fixing a leaky faucet.

What We’re Looking For

  • The "Handyperson" Skillset: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. (You don’t need to be a master plumber, but you should know your way around a toolbox).
  • Problem Solvers: Someone who can look at a mechanical issue and find a creative, efficient solution.
  • Reliability: Our guests depend on us 24/7. Consistency and punctuality are key.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stay on your feet for the duration of a shift.
  • Tech Savvy: Ability to use basic mobile apps for tracking work orders.
  • Experience: Hotel and/or Apartment maintenance experience is preferred.

Why Join the Hospitality Group Family?

  • Competitive Pay: Range from $18.00/hr to $23/Hr (Depends on Experience).
  • Marriott Travel Perks: Enjoy massive discounts on hotel rooms at thousands of Marriott properties worldwide.
  • Local Culture: Work with a tight-knit team in the heart of the Tri-Cities.
  • Career Growth: We love to promote from within! Maintenance is a great gateway to Engineering Management.
