POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating and performing facility maintenance and repair operations in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with recognized industry standards.
This role involves a wide range of duties, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and plumbing work. The technician will evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment and systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for maintaining all company buildings and equipment in compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards. Strong communication with management is essential, particularly regarding any food safety or quality concerns that require immediate action.
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and gas systems
  • Perform and support preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including lubrication, filter changes, and equipment cleaning
  • Prioritize, plan, and execute daily maintenance and repair tasks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance workspace
  • Apply sound judgment to identify and resolve safety-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, and quality policies
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding equipment status and issues
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and skill development
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical background
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or an Associate degree in a maintenance-related field
  • Solid understanding of electrical theory, pneumatic, hydraulic, and lubrication systems
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • "Fix it right the first time" mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Journeyman license
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Advanced electrical experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
