Role Overview
The Senior Maintenance Associate ensures the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of assigned buildings performing daily and seasonal upkeep, coordinating and supervising vendors, responding to work orders and emergencies, preparing spaces and units for use, traveling across sites as needed, and continuously developing skills to support high quality, efficient facility operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance as well as making sure assigned building(s) are consistently cleaned to provide a safe work environment. Perform daily cleaning duties, including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning walls, windows, restrooms, emptying and cleaning trash containers, when needed. Available for on-call scheduling, including evenings and weekends, across buildings outside of immediate area of responsibility. Required to travel to multiple sites within assigned area, and to other buildings when on-call.
  • Work on projects that include, but not limited to: stripping and waxing floors, and carpet cleaning when necessary and contingent upon the need of property. Assist with the seasonal maintenance of the premises, including: snow and ice removal, spreading of salt when needed on all pavements, and the maintenance and groundskeeping of all landscape areas.
  • Handle work orders in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. Ensure that all rooms and/or main areas are clean and ready for daily use, meetings, or special events by arranging tables and chairs. Prepare vacant rental units by cleaning, preparing and painting the unit to ensure it is ready to be occupied, as needed. Responsible for handling and/or coordinating services to resolve any maintenance-related emergencies, as needed. Work with external vendors as needed.
  • Responsible for supervising contractors and vendors, ensuring their service meets expectations. Accountable for the work being performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance, when necessary.
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Job duties may need to be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to reach in all directions and climb a ladder, when needed.

Minimum

Certifications and Licensure

  • Preferred CMRT, HVAC Certification; CAMT, BOC, OSHA Safety Certification; FMP
