Job description

) Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of a Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for providing support for a variety of maintenance related areas throughout the facility. This is a full-time, day shift position. Our facility offers opportunities for advancement, comprehensive benefits, and competitive pay. This is a temporary position.
Maintenance Assistant Job Duties:
  • Aid in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing all aspects of the maintenance program.
  • Aid in the completion of forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc. related to the Maintenance Department.
  • Make sure all maintenance work meets quality standards.
  • Aid in the planned program of preventive maintenance.
  • Assure that all defective machines, equipment, and appliances are repaired or replaced.
  • See that grounds and facility are kept safe, neat, and orderly.
  • Conduct monthly fire drills.
  • Participate in facility committees and audits, as needed.
  • Organize, maintain, and store all department-specific supplies and equipment.

Maintenance Assistant Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday
  • Weekend On-Call

Maintenance Assistant Requirements:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program preferred.
  • Knowledge of Life Safety codes and regulations preferred.
