Maintenance Assistant

  • Employment Type: W2 (not open to C2C, 1099, or visa sponsorship)

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Maintenance Assistant to support routine facility upkeep, equipment repairs, and maintenance projects within a manufacturing environment. This entry-level opportunity is designed for someone with basic technical and mechanical skills who is eager to learn from experienced maintenance technicians and build a career in facility and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist maintenance technicians with routine mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Support preventive maintenance, facility upkeep, and equipment-related projects.
  • Safely operate basic hand tools and power tools.
  • Measure and mark materials accurately using a tape measure.
  • Complete daily timesheets and update work orders accurately.
  • Use basic computer applications to log time, review email, and access maintenance requests.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and the maintenance shop clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Follow all safety procedures, instructions, and facility guidelines.
  • Assist with indoor and outdoor maintenance activities as assigned.
  • Work additional hours and overtime based on operational needs.

Qualifications
