Primary Responsibilities:
• Develops and updates plant maintenance procedures and system descriptions.
• Establishes and maintains preventive and predictive maintenance support system, equipment and tools,
spare parts, site procurement.
• Administers plant maintenance budget and identifies areas of optimization and makes recommendations
for improvement.
• Manages all preventative, predictive and emergency maintenance at facility within safe, legal and
contractually permissible limits. Meets or exceeds daily production budget.
• Using established employee selection guidelines assists in hiring of plant personnel.
• Provides performance related feedback and formal evaluations for maintenance personnel.
• Responsible for promoting spirit of teamwork and productivity among maintenance personnel in
accordance with Mastronardi Produce system.
• Develops, refines and administers maintenance qualification and training programs.
• Develops, refines, and administers plant maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate and supervise all functions necessary to ensure the efficient and reliable maintenance of the
plant for optimized production levels.
• Requires a high degree of ingenuity to support the optimization of plant equipment through the scheduling
and performance of corrective/preventative maintenance and the utilization of new products and methods.
• Establish and implement the routine maintenance program and preventative maintenance procedures.
Schedule preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure that an adequate inventory of materials and supplies are available to support routine maintenance
programs. Review status of spare parts and requisition as needed. Maintain spare parts history and
implement and maintain inventory control.
• Establish and implement tool control and inventory program to support routine maintenance.
• Maintain high level of interaction with maintenance personnel. Evaluate personnel in maintenance group.
Assist in plant training program.
• Coordinate needs in conjunction with Plant Manager for current and upcoming projects.
• Coordinate maintenance subcontracting as required.
Education/Background Requirements:
• At least five years of related plant maintenance experience required.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
• Requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of plant maintenance, and a good working knowledge
of electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Requires strong verbal and written communications skills, and interpersonal skills necessary to supervise
nonexempt personnel.
Working Conditions:
• Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 50°F. The
background noise approaches 70 dcbs.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Limited kneeling, squatting and crawling required.
