Maintenance Technician
We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician within our long-term care and rehabilitation facility specializing in geriatrics. We are seeking a dependable, motivated individual who takes pride in a job well done and demonstrates flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude.
The ideal candidate will be willing to assist wherever needed to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-kept environment for our residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Health care or long-term care maintenance experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn
  • General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, compressors, and generators preferred
  • Knowledge of basic safety regulations and building codes
  • Ability to perform general carpentry, painting, sheetrock repair, groundskeeping, and other facility maintenance duties
  • Strong communication skills when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and staff
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for facility maintenance emergencies

Essential Job Functions
The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Maintenance Director to help maintain the facility, equipment, and grounds and to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the facility's preventive maintenance program
  • Complete routine maintenance and repairs throughout the building and grounds
  • Perform weekly and monthly maintenance inspections and checks
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable fire, safety, and building codes
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and sheetrock repairs as needed
  • Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC and other facility equipment
  • Maintain facility grounds and assist with groundskeeping duties
  • Complete daily trash pickup and help maintain the appearance of exterior areas
  • Identify maintenance concerns and communicate needed repairs to the Maintenance Director
  • Respond promptly to maintenance-related issues throughout the facility
  • Assist with emergency maintenance situations as needed
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation for facility maintenance emergencies.
