Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify wear, damage, or potential failures. Use hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components according to instructions and safety standards. Assist in responding to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to restore operations promptly.

Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors and maintenance technicians in a timely manner. Key Requirements: Proven experience in mechanical equipment repair within an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment. Strong practical skills using hand and power tools for mechanical maintenance tasks.

Experience operating forklifts in a maintenance or warehouse setting. Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA compliance requirements. Ability to read and follow basic work instructions, maintenance procedures, and equipment manuals.

Comfortable working Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with consistent punctuality and reliability. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials, and to work on feet for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills: Experience in a plant, refinery, or heavy industrial environment. Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or maintenance logs.

Previous experience assisting with equipment installations or upgrades. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Formal training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field preferred.

Valid forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. OSHA 10 or similar safety training certification is an advantage. If you're a dependable Maintenance Assistant who takes pride in safe, efficient mechanical work, this contract role offers a solid opportunity to put your skills to use-apply now to be considered.
