Job Description

This role supports the installation team on commercial fire protection projects by preparing materials, assisting crews across multiple job sites, and working with a variety of piping systems and related equipment. You will contribute directly to new construction projects by ensuring all pipe, fittings, and components are ready, accurate, and safely prepared for installation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and stage materials for all installation crews across multiple job sites, ensuring the correct pipe, fittings, valves, hangers, heads, and sleeves are available and ready for use.
  • Support the install team on commercial construction projects by assisting with layout, preparation, and handling of piping systems and related components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand piping layouts, material requirements, and installation details.
  • Operate and maintain a Rigid 300 machine to thread and groove pipe when needed, following safety and quality standards.
  • Use band saws and other cutting tools to cut, bend, and modify pipe and related materials to required specifications.
  • Handle, move, and organize pipe, fittings, and equipment on active construction sites, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Work closely with plumbers, pipefitters, and sprinkler fitters to support installation of fire protection and sprinkler systems.
  • Assist with basic construction tasks related to piping systems, including measuring, marking, and preparing pipe runs.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and guidelines while working in active, rough construction environments.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality expectations.

Essential Skills

Pay and Benefits
