Job description

Job Summary:
The Mainframe Developer will design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise mainframe solutions using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL. The role requires extensive knowledge of FIS Core Banking Systems and the ability to manage technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. The developer will troubleshoot incidents, resolve complex technical issues, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide technical direction to teams while adapting priorities to changing business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL solutions following SDLC methodologies.
• Utilize expert-level knowledge of FIS Core Banking Systems for system development and management.
• Work with FIS Core Banking modules including RM, GN, IM, AM, and SC.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and system incidents using a proactive ownership approach.
• Analyze technical issues and develop effective problem resolutions.
• Direct and oversee technical teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Present findings, analysis, and technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Adapt priorities quickly based on changing business needs.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational discipline throughout development and support activities.
Required Qualifications:
• 12-15 years of relevant mainframe development experience.
• Strong proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with FIS Core Banking Systems, including RM, GN, IM, AM, and SC.
• Experience developing and implementing solutions using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL within an SDLC environment.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in relevant technologies.
• Strong collaboration skills with business and technical stakeholders.
• Clear and concise presentation and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to direct and oversee technical teams throughout project lifecycles.
