If you are a Logistics professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based out of our Rushville, IN location, you will support and oversee incoming shipments, manage the receiving staff, and oversee audits.
AS A LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL:
  • Oversee the unloading, inspection, and sorting of incoming shipments.
  • Receive incoming material or product, properly identify and places in proper storage or staging area.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming shipments, including logging them into the system and reconciling with physical inventory.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of paperwork for all material or product; maintain electronic records in the system and mainframe as necessary.
  • Oversee audits of product and material to ensure that the proper receipt of shipment is made; audits and completes inventory of product in storerooms and/or warehouses.
  • Combine products/materials on pallets or in containers to prepare for further use or shipment.
  • Manage and train receiving staff, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Communicate with suppliers, logistics, providers, and other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to incoming shipments.
  • Assure compliance with all OSHA regulations, safety standards and company processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all receiving activities, including invoices, packing slips, and other relevant documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • 1-2 years of experience in production supervision/warehouse management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire and lead teams towards a common goal
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly understand technical products and solutions
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both with teams and independently.
  • Demonstrate an ability to drive operational changes and process improvements by working and excelling in a team environment and demonstrating an ability to interact across all levels of management within and outside the organization
  • Strong communication, analytical, project management, and change management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Must be flexible on work hours and able to work overtime as needed.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP
  • Associate degree
  • Warehouse Management experience

Schedule
Assembly operates on a 4-day, 10-hour work-shift schedule. Salaried employees who are not front-line supervisors work five days to support this arrangement. They can choose between working extended hours from Monday to Thursday with a half day on Friday, or they can opt for full eight-hour workdays from Monday to Friday.

About Our Location
Our 2-building campus offers a safe and clean work environment with a "family" atmosphere. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to "like new" status, as well as manufacture crank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization. A 2-building campus allows for learning and growth opportunities for all our team.
