Job description

Location: NYC - Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
o Review and analyze current feature sets with team to identify development strategy
o Work with team lead to prioritize work
o Discover what users need by conducting user research and unveiling critical insights.
o Provides feedback on updated features and risks associated with development work
o Deliver operational support and features as requested, and conduct testing to ensure optimal performance of said features
Analyze business requirements and design mainframe solutions that meet functional and technical specifications.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in the implementation of mainframe applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Perform code reviews, quality assurance, and testing of mainframe applications to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe systems to improve efficiency and scalability.
Provide expertise in mainframe technologies and recommend innovative solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, Assembler, PL/I, JCL, CICS, IMS, and DB2.
Strong understanding of mainframe architectures, systems programming, and performance optimization techniques.
Experience with modernization initiatives such as rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring of mainframe applications is a plus.
