What Is a Mail Processor?
A mail processor is an employee of the postal service and is responsible for sorting incoming and outgoing mail and preparing it for the mail carrier to take on their delivery route. Your duties include sorting mail using a machine or by hand, loading and unloading mail trucks, and maintaining and repairing broken machinery. Description of Job
The Driver Control Section, within the Division of Motor Vehicles, exists to administer motor vehicle statutory requirements affecting driver's privilege, to compile and house motor vehicle related data and documents through data entry, electronic imaging, and filing; to provide copies, reports, and information pertaining to motor vehicle data and documents upon request from law enforcement and governmental agencies and; to process requests from the general public and collect appropriate fees.
We're hiring a detail oriented and organized individual to be our Administrative Assistant III-Lead in our Mail & Retrieval Services work unit in Driver Control! In the Lakewood office, use your computer skills to input data and generate reports from databases and spreadsheets to ensure accurate recording of information. Your great attention to detail will ensure DOR remains compliant with policies and customer's documents are accurate. Use your leadership skills to ensure work tasks are completed and the unit is trained. If you're ready to contribute to the Department of Revenue's success, then this job may be for you!
Primary Duties:
- Lead Worker - Scheduling work and establishing work standards, acts as the supporting supervisor in the assignment of work tasks and documenting performance management for the unit, may act in Unit Supervisor's absentia, may assist in testing and resolving system concerns, and initiates the hiring process, interviewing applicants and recommending hires.
- Training, Monitoring and Assigning Duties - Trains staff on duties, procedures and equipment, assigns and monitors tasks and work flow, identifies areas where increased efficiency may be needed, maintains and disseminates procedures, assists in testing systems, and prepares documents.
- Statistics and Reporting - Collects, records and maintains daily, weekly, monthly and yearly statistics for reports, updates spreadsheets, maintains logs, and provides analysis on data and reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Three (3) years of customer service experience with additional experience in high volume mail processing, data entry, and analytical skills.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education in Business, Training, Higher Education, Technology or related field and/or relevant full-time professional experience employed in a position that is responsible for developing and/or delivering business systems training to adult learners in a class-room and/or virtual setting equal to seven (7) years
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will possess the following:
- Lead workers of supervisory experience in a professional office setting
- Career progression in a general clerical and/or customer service position
- Google Suite experience; specifically, proficient with Google Sheets
- Strong analytical skills

Conditions of Employment with the CDOR:
Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations.
Pursuant to the Universal Driving Standards Policy, any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.
To be compliant with the new fleet vehicle policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be pulled for review for workers who:
- Have an assigned State fleet vehicle
- Are required to operate a vehicle as part of the position
- Utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle
