Job description

Overview

The Opportunity:

This is a seasonal role with IST Management Services, performing Mail Services-related work at a local University in Providence.  We are looking for new Semester surge help in our Mail Center for 5-8 week increments, in the Fall and Spring.

Hours will range from M-F 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM, and Saturdays 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.  Site location will be in the Providence, RI area. 

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to expand their computer/software knowledge, hone their customer service skills, and have the potential to advance within an organization, should other positions come available.

There is also the possibility for On Call assistance through the school year, to help cover for FT Staff vacations.

Hourly Compensation: $17.00- $18.50 USD

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mailroom services- scanning/sorting/delivery of mail and packages on campus to appropriate client personnel - primarily, University Students
  • Learn package locker loading work-flows, and learn the entire process.
  • Training as necessary
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required 
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills & computer and Internet savvy
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask as well as willingness to cross-train for other job functions
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
  • A valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
