Job description

We are hiring a Warehouse Associate on behalf of our client, a leading provider of high-volume print and mail logistics solutions. This full-time position is based within their mail shop department and supports daily production workflows through inventory logging, equipment operation, and freight handling.
Location: Springfield, VA
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm
Compensation: $18.00-20.00/hr


Responsibilities

  • Log overage stock into the internal computer database immediately following the completion of production jobs.
  • Stage materials for all production runs promptly to ensure an uninterrupted facility workflow.
  • Audit production-related paperwork for accuracy and report any documentation errors to the department supervisor.
  • Load and unload transport trailers at the loading dock and move materials to and from the production floor.
  • Operate manual pallet jacks, electric power jacks, strapping machines, and forklifts safely.
  • Process cardboard materials through the recycling compactor and assist with loading recycling transport vehicles.
  • Keep sorting and inserter machinery stocked with necessary trays, sleeves, and components.
  • Follow established facility procedures for stacking, shrink-wrapping, and labeling finished pallets for postal delivery acceptance.
  • Maintain data on bundling and tray requirements to comply with standard postal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized warehouse floor while assisting other facility personnel as directed.
  • Work scheduled overtime shifts as requested by management to meet client delivery deadlines.

Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Prior experience working within a direct mail facility, mail shop, or general warehouse setting is preferred.
