Johnson & Quin specializes in producing large volume direct mail and integrated communication campaigns for well-known marketing companies throughout the U.S. Our teams use the latest technology in data processing, security, personalization and mailing to create highly personalized and variable communications.



POSITION FUNCTION:


Responsible for ensuring components of the direct mail pieces are mechanically inserted into Flow Master and High-Speed mail inserting machines, stamped, and sorted correctly according to the given job ticket and job matrix in the final stage of production.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Logs into Monarch terminal at the beginning and end of every job to document completion times and operator role for the job.
  • Utilizes and interprets job ticket and job matrix information to match up component codes and sequence numbers of each mail job ensuring indicated quality is upheld based upon sample provided.
  • Makes slight adjustments to machines to ensure production flows smoothly.
  • Provides sample piece of each job to shift supervisor for final approval before proceeding with production.
  • Takes provided mail pieces and envelops and continually reloads them into distributing machine hoppers ensuring correct version components are being inserted as indicated by the matrix.
  • Visually inspects every ten pieces to make sure letters, attachments, and envelopes are appropriately matched according to sequence numbers.
  • Tags trays and makes sure each mail piece is correctly stamped and sorted in properly tagged mail trays based upon given zip code specifications and quantity limitations.
  • Completes other various duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Adheres to all Security Policies and Procedures as referenced in the Employee Security Handbook




Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ year(s) previous inserting machine experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift full mail trays up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to read and understand a Lettershop matrix.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, push, pull and pick up 35 lbs. of materials.
  • Must be able to handle stacks of mail and use rubber bands to bundle out mail.
  • Ability to read and understand work related documentation and sequence numbers regarding job specifications.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate machines and equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:


Standard manufacturing environment, personal protective equipment required in some areas for safe hearing precautions. Onsite full-time schedule.
