The referenced pay range represents the first and last step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities:

Drives panel and/or stake trucks safely to deliver and pick up supplies, materials, equipment, transportation tickets, etc. Responsible for general maintenance of vehicle and necessary daily or other periodic reporting of trips as required.

SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED:TYPICAL DUTIES:1. Knows locations of buildings, departments and loading entrances in order to make specific pick-up and deliveries.2. Loads and unloads materials, furniture, supplies, equipment, etc. with assistance as needed 3. Makes special runs as directed.4.Keeps daily record of all trips and time involved. Knowledgeable of and implements special handling procedures of fragile cargo. May keep record of all portable equipment by location.5. Advises supervisor of need for preventive maintenance, inspection or repair of vehicles.6. May make minor repairs.7. Refuels vehicle, checks fluids and keeps vehicle clean and neat at all times.8. May assist in receiving room when needed.9. Sorts and delivers mail as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to read and write English and to understand and follow maps, diagrams, oral and written instructions. Must possess a valid New York State license with appropriate class based on gross vehicle weight ratings. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
