Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mail Equipment Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating high-speed mail processing equipment, including mail inserters and Kirk-Rudy mailing systems. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining mailing equipment to ensure accurate, efficient, and on-time production.

Responsibilities

· Set up, operate, and monitor mail inserters and Kirk-Rudy mailing equipment.

· Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.

· Verify job specifications and ensure mail pieces meet quality standards.

· Load materials such as envelopes, inserts, labels, and ink supplies.

· Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.

· Conduct routine equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance.

· Perform quality checks throughout production to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.

· Work with supervisors and team members to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.

· Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Qualifications

· Previous experience operating mail inserters, Kirk-Rudy equipment, or similar mailing and finishing equipment required.

· Experience with high-speed mailing, inkjet addressing, tabbing, labeling, or related mail processing equipment is a plus.

· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production instructions.
