Job description

Williams Transportation is currently seeking full-time, and part-time Ground lead drivers who are looking to join an award-winning transportation logistics company. Williams Transportation is a contracted service provider for FedEx Ground + Home Delivery, and runs multiple routes throughout the Ogden area. We are hiring for positions for our Ogden location.

Drivers are responsible for safe and timely handling and delivery of packages to businesses and residential areas on their route. Drivers enjoy independence on the road and develop a rewarding and enjoyable career incorporating customer service, road safety and driving skills.

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of a commercial vehicle in a wide variety of conditions.

  • Completion of all assigned delivery and pickup stops for the day.

  • Proper usage of hand held device to record all activity for the day.

  • Maintain security of all packages and equipment assigned for the day.

  • Ability to lift, bend, carry & load packages as well as follow directions and turn by turn maps.

  • Friendly to customers & team members.

  • Packages are picked up from the sort location in either North Salt Lake City, West Valley, and Ogden facilities depending on routes.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.

  • Must have 12 months of commercial driving experience in the last 3 years. Driving experience must be paid, for work, not to and from work. I.e. Pizza delivery, mail delivery, parcel delivery, real estate, home healthcare, etc. A CDL is not required.

  • Qualified individuals that don't have the necessary commercial driving experience can be approved by attending our driver training program.

  • Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Must have a clean driving record.
