Shipping Clerk, Gainesville Texas
Pay Rate: $25.97
Hiring 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Overtime as Needed.
As a Shipping Clerk at our Gainesville, TX plant, you will be a crucial part of our operations, handling the logistics of shipping and receiving within the warehouse. Your work will directly ensure that our quality products are processed accurately and delivered to our customers on time!
Primary Responsibilities
  • Shipping Clerks focus on setting up, preparing, and processing inbound and outbound warehouse shipments.
  • Package items securely, label accurately, and generate essential shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing slips.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups, select cost-effective shipping methods, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, update Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software, and maintain accurate records and shipping logs.
  • Handle international documentation and ensure strict compliance with all domestic and global shipping regulations.
  • Work primarily in an office environment, while regularly assisting on the warehouse floor with material handling functions.
  • Load and unload product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
  • Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence (size, type, style, color, or product code).
  • Operate gas or electric powered forklift trucks and Hi-Rise lift equipment to move, stack, load, or unload materials in storage racks.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in word processing, rapid typing, and data entry.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and professional communication skills.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP/WMS knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Valid certification or experience operating forklifts and high-rise material handling equipment.
