MagTech is currently hiring a **Mechanic Technician near Hilliard, OH. **Please apply below if you are interested and meet the qualifications below!

**Responsibilities: **

The Mechanic Technician primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Perform simple to complex motor repairs, depending on level, of assigned products which includes disassembling, cleaning, repairing, assembling, and testing. Analyze and troubleshoot simple to complex technical problems using advanced mechanical skills as well as product appropriate mechanical diagrams. Assist with warehouse and general shipping needs during downtime.

Starting Pay Rate: $20-25 based on experience.

Hours: 40-45 hours, minimal OT. morning shift

Responsibilities:

  • Perform simple to complex motor repairs, depending on level, of assigned products which includes disassembling, cleaning, repairing, assembling, and testing.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot simple to complex technical problems using advanced mechanical skills as well as product appropriate mechanical diagrams.

  • Complete scheduled evaluations and determine which parts are needed and what work is required by following established procedures.

  • Conduct repair tests as required by company procedures.

  • Order parts as necessary for each unit processed.

  • Provide supervisor with daily updates of schedule conflicts.

  • Prioritize task assignments as directed by the Supervisor and/or Lead.

  • Maintain tools and keep toolbox and work area clean and organized.

  • Participate and attend training to increase product knowledge as well as attend safety training.

  • Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection, and maintenance to repair and testing equipment.

  • Maintain repair efficiency set forth by technician level guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and Technical School Certification required (related field)

  • Associate degree in Mechanics/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education and experience preferred.

  • 1 to 5 years working with electric motors or mechanical equipment is preferred.

  • Mechanical backgrounds in other areas will also be considered

  • Must have computer skills and can enter data.

  • Can evaluate and fill out computer related work orders in accordance with accuracy.

  • Knowledge and use of manual, pneumatic, and electrical hand tools

  • Excellent organizational skills and good housekeeping skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Good math and people skill

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.
