Job description

Position: Critical Care Transport Paramedic
Department: CareFlight Air & Mobile Services
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
Shift: Full-time Days 7:00am-7:30pm/ 72 Hours Per Pay
The MICU Paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The MICU paramedic provides advanced emergency/critical care in conjunction with a CareFlight Nurse during transport and may also provide patient care for patients in Miami Valley Hospital and any Premier Health facility where a Mobile Intensive Care Unit is based. The CareFlight MICU paramedic works with all populations of patients. This position also includes public relations and medical education functions.
Education: High School completion / GED; Certified as a Paramedic in the State of Ohio
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Paramedic in the State of Ohio
• The following certifications are required at the time of hire:
• BLS, ACLS and PALS
• The following certifications are required within the specified time frame following hire:
• 90 Days- ITLS or PHTLS
• 1 Year - NRP, ATLS (audit)
• 2 Years - CAMTS approved professional certification
Experience: Minimum 3 years of full time Paramedic experience required. Preferred to have recent full-time active experience with 911 Emergency Service Agency or MICU Transport Company
