The Flavor Profile

The Doorier/Magician role is a high-energy, guest-facing role designed for individuals who are outgoing, charismatic, and comfortable blending entertainment with sales. You are a natural performer-confident in approaching strangers, reading a crowd, and creating memorable, playful moments that convert passersby into ticketed guests. Drawing on a background in acting, improv, or performance, you bring storytelling, adaptability, and presence to every interaction, captivating audiences and building excitement around the MOIC experience and Magic Show. You don't wait for guests-you actively engage, spark intrigue, and turn curiosity into commitment through connection, not pressure.

In addition to driving ticket sales, you will serve as the Magician in Big Top Taste, hosting and performing a timed interactive show that blends energy, surprise, and immersive storytelling. Success in this role requires someone extremely outgoing, highly engaging, and skilled at initiating conversations with ease. You are comfortable operating in unscripted environments, using intuition and improvisation to elevate each guest interaction. Above all, you are passionate about hospitality, performance, and creating meaningful connections that leave a lasting impression on our guests.

Your Day-to-Day

First Impressions, Guest Engagement & Sales Conversion

  • Serve as the face of MOIC at the entrance, creating an exciting and welcoming first impression.
  • Proactively approach passersby and engage them in conversation, drawing them into the MOIC experience.
  • Drive ticket sales and conversions by building curiosity, excitement, and emotional connection.
  • Clearly and confidently communicate the value of the MOIC experience and Magic Show, encouraging guests to purchase tickets.
  • Use performance, storytelling, and personality to turn interest into action.
  • Adapt your approach based on guest type, energy, and environment to maximize conversion opportunities.

Performance & Entertainment

  • Perform as the Magician in Big Top Taste, hosting and executing a 40-minute interactive show.
  • Use improv, humor, and storytelling to engage and captivate audiences.
  • Deliver both scripted and spontaneous performances that create memorable guest moments.

Hospitality & Guest Experience

  • Anticipate guest needs and create meaningful, personal connections.
  • Act as a host and connector, bringing guests together and elevating their experience.
  • Maintain a strong balance of sales, hospitality, and performance. 

The pay range for this is role is $25-$35 an hour dependent on experience.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Experience in performance, acting, or entertainment, ideally in a guest-facing or interactive environment.
  • Food Handler Card or ServeSafe Certification
  • TAM Card / Alcohol Awareness
  • English proficiency is required for effective communication in the role
  • Standing and walking on your feet for long periods of time, up to 8 hours
  • Team work and ability to effectively function in a high energy environment
  • Bend/lift heavy objects of up to 40 pounds

Licensing & Certifications (Nevada Requirements)

Candidates must possess or be able to obtain and maintain the following:

  • Non-Gaming Sheriff's Card
  • Food Handler Card or ServeSafe Certification
  • Must be willing to obtain a Wedding Officiant License (paid for by the company) if required.
