Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Shape and evolve visual identity systems across Hearst Magazines International's portfolio, ensuring a cohesive and modern brand presence.
  • Develop and refine typography, color palettes, layout frameworks, and other visual standards that scale across global markets and platforms.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that support consistency while allowing for thoughtful local adaptation.
  • Lead creative direction for editorial design, including print features, covers, layouts, and visual storytelling packages.
  • Design engaging creative assets across digital experiences, including websites, mobile products, and platform-native social content.
  • Partner closely with editorial, design, marketing, and creative teams across international markets to deliver high-quality, culturally relevant work.
  • Present creative concepts, curate photography and illustration, oversee image retouching, and ensure exceptional execution across all brand touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to translate audience insights and emerging trends into visually compelling campaigns that drive engagement and growth.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 4+ years of experience in magazine publishing, digital media, a creative agency, or a related creative environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in visual storytelling, typography, editorial design, and brand systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite; experience with Figma or similar collaborative design tools.
  • Experience designing across print, digital, and social platforms with an understanding of platform-specific best practices.
  • Strong visual communication skills with the ability to present creative ideas clearly and incorporate feedback effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity, cultural awareness, and a passion for creating thoughtful, audience-focused creative work for global markets.

The base salary range for this role is $66,300-$80,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
