Senior Video Producer Overview (Why This Role?)

Hearst Magazines is looking for a Senior Video Producer to bring bold ideas to life through dynamic, cinematic video content. You'll play a key role in shaping the voice of iconic enthusiast brands by producing videos that inspire, entertain, and move audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce, shoot, and edit video content from concept through delivery, both independently and in collaboration with a team.
  • Capture and direct high-quality footage in a range of environments - from dynamic field shoots to controlled studio settings.
  • Oversee and contribute to all aspects of post-production, including editing, color grading, audio mixing, and graphics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, entertainment, and partnership teams to align video output with strategic goals.
  • Source, book, and manage freelance production talent and maintain efficient workflows across projects.
  • Enforce visual standards, file management practices, and production best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Support production budgeting and resource planning in coordination with project managers.
Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of hands-on professional video production experience, spanning pre- to post-production.
  • Proven success creating engaging, platform-optimized short- and long-form digital video content.
  • Strong creative vision and storytelling instincts, with the ability to bring fresh ideas to life.
  • Experience shooting in fast-paced environments, including outdoor/field production.
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, and other Creative Suite tools (motion graphics a plus).
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and solutions-oriented under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across departments and disciplines.
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days in-office required in Easton, PA.

The base salary for this role is between $77,190 - $80,700. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
