Job description

Come join an amazing team with a fun culture while working in the beautiful Jersey Shore environment! The all-new Madison Resort Wildwood Crest, formerly known as the Oceanview Motel, is a beach front property that was built in 1963, and at the time was the largest motel ever built in The Wildwoods. Recently purchased by Madison Resorts, this property was fully restored and won Best New Hotel by USA Today for 2025!

The property consists of a hotel, which boasts over 200 hotel rooms, multiple restaurants, multiple pools, complimentary valet service, and of course beach service with much more to come in future years.

Summary:

The Public Areas Attendant is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance of our property, including offices areas, restrooms and all areas determined by assigned management team while providing our guests with excellent guest service.

Responsibilities: 

  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
  • Greet guests and provide assistance when possible or as requested.
  • Be responsible for assigned keys and following hotel key control policies.
  • Be responsible for gathering and placing trash in assigned location inside the hotel throughout the day; break down boxes and take all trash and cardboard out to the dumpster throughout the day – frequency of these tasks dictated by level of business.
  • Clean all public areas which include the hotel lobby, sitting areas, public restrooms, entrance ways, exercise room, pool, and designated outdoor areas.
  • Clean administrative office areas (back of the house) and team member areas as assigned.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, wipe counters, dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, and sanitize all areas.
  • Complete work order for maintenance needs as instructed; inform management of situations requiring immediate attention.
  • Notify direct supervisor or General Manager of problems with property or grounds.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures.
  • Assist with duties of others as requested by management.
  • Previous hotel-related experience desired.
  • Ability to read, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred.
  • Lift up to 40lbs
